New bait for 2010 'Churchwood Specials' To
follow on from a very successful winter baiting campaign based on the
CW range of freezer boilies we have taken the step to having this bait
made available to our customers. The new CW Special freezer boilie is
now fully established as a vital food source for our much valued resident
carp in both Churchwood and Jenkins fishing lakes. An example of how
well the CW Special bait has been working can be seen in the February
diary page. |

The new bait in more detail
Phil from CW Baits: "The new CW Special freezer boilie addresses the
dietary requirements of the fish by providing a healthy balanced food source
which is easy to digest in all feeding temperatures. The bait has a mixed
protein source which helps to provide a wide amino acid profile coming from
fish, vegetable and milk protein sources. Another key ingredient is the use
of wheatgerm, used in aquaculture and koi feeds for low water temperature
feeding. We have also paid particular attention to the health on the inside
of the fish by using natural sources of prebiotics and lecithins. By using
prebiotics we can help the fish to digest the food more efficiently as prebiotics
provide the food source for the good bacteria in the gut. The more efficiently
the food is digested the easier it is for the uptake of amino acids which
helps on all aspects of the fishes health and vitality. Proof of how well
this all works is by taking a look at the fish, the colours, shape and feeding
habits have all improved over the winter period whilst feeding this new CW
Specail boilie.
To add flavour dimension to this bait we had to go natural, there would be
no point creating a bait which had so many health benefits and then just chucking
in a synthetic nature identical flavour. After careful consideration we decided
to go with a collection of fruity and spicy essential oils, all proven fish
catchers and ones which also play a vital role in the function of the bait.
The flavour is not overpowering but gives a subtle fruity note with a spicy
edge. To give the fish a little extra treat we have added betaine HCI and
pure new zealand defatted green lipped musel extract. This widens the taste
profile, increases palatability and provides another vital source of amino
acids. Due to how successful yellow baits have been over the years on Churchwood
Fisheries, we have poduced the bait in yellow, again the yellow dye being
from natural human food grade sources.
The new yellow CW Special boilie will be with us mid March 2010. To accompany
the boilies we have also had a special active glug / boilie dip designed which
will further enhance the attraction. Bright yellow popups will also be available
with the matching attractor flavour profile.
